<Body Range> tells us that an individual's willingness to recognize the inside of his body is limited to incomplete practice.
Efforts to visually understand one's body are made through incomplete visual data. Surgeons' surgical information, results from medical imaging devices, anatomical illustrations, and human organ models cannot fully reflect all visual information within an individual's body. The golf ball that flies in the golf driving range fails to fly in the shape of a complete parabola and falls in the net. An effort to visually understand the inside of the body is an act of practicing repeatedly with incomplete results, as if flying a ball in a golf driving range. An individual's body, which repeats incomplete visual exercises, becomes a practice field surrounded by a network of incomplete body images.
<신체 연습장>은 자신의 몸 안에 대한 개인의 시각적 인식 의지가 불완전한 연습 행위로 한정됨을 이야기한다.
자신의 몸 안을 시각적으로 이해하려는 노력은 불완전한 시각 자료를 통해 이루어진다. 외과 의사의 수술 정보, 의료 촬영 기기의 결과물, 해부 삽화, 인체 장기 모형 등은 개인의 몸 내부가 가진 모든 시각 정보를 완벽하게 반영할 수 없다. 골프 연습장 속을 날아다니는 골프공은 완전한 포물선 모양으로 날아가지 못하고 그물(Net)에 부딪혀 떨어진다. 몸 안을 시각적으로 이해하려는 노력은 마치 골프 연습장 안에서 공을 날리는 것처럼 불완전한 결과를 반복하는 연습 행위이다. 불완전한 시각적 연습을 반복하는 개인의 몸은 불완전한 신체 이미지의 정보망(Net work)으로 둘러싸인 연습장이 된다.
