<Nurse Call> tells the artist's experience of body instability.

The artist experienced lethargy that he could not actively perform any activities as well as work for about a year. And at this time, the artist, who could not easily ask for help from his family and acquaintances, compared himself to a patient who was hospitalized in a single room without a nurse call. So he tried various small activities to spend a gloomy waking time alone, including the experience of carving the leftover avocado seeds without thinking. The soft and oily avocado seeds scatter red as if they were scarred when the carving is brushed, and then gradually dry as hard as a piece of wood. The small pieces that wriggled to endure time become hard traces of calling themselves to help themselves.




<너스 콜>은 몸의 불안정성에 대한 작가의 경험을 이야기 한다.


작가는 1년 정도의 기간 동안 작업은 물론 어떠한 활동도 능동적으로 할 수 없는 무기력증을 경험했었다. 그리고 이때 가족과 지인에게 도움을 쉽게 요청하지 못했던 작가는 자신을 너스 콜(Nurse call)이 없는 1인실에 입원한 환자에 비유했다. 그래서 깨어있는 우울한 시간을 혼자 보내기 위해 여러 가지 작은 활동을 시도했고, 그중에는 먹고 남은 아보카도의 씨앗을 아무 생각 없이 조각했던 경험이 포함되어 있다. 부드럽고 기름진 아보카도 씨앗은 조각도가 스치면 마치 상처가 난 것 처럼 빨갛게 산패되다가 점차 나뭇조각처럼 단단하게 건조된다. 시간을 견디기 위해 주물럭거린 작은 조각들은 자신을 돕기 위해 스스로를 호출했던 단단한 흔적이 된다.
