<Pelvis Fragment from Jupiter> is a small object produced while imagining the work of <Jupiter>.

The visual data obtained from the photographing device provides information having more pixels and polygon values as the technology develops. However, regardless of the clarity of the data, the planets of the universe, bones and organs in the body that individuals cannot witness directly with the naked eye, eventually have a digitally reconstructed virtual appearance. Based on this, <Jupiter> attempts to create an imaginary landscape featuring bones and organs reconstructed with pixels and polygons of various clarity. Based on the scientific fact that the human body is close to the shape of a donut as a topology, <Jupiter> will assume a donut-shaped planet that metaphorizes the human body and imagine the landscape of this planet. <Pelvis Fragment from Jupiter> is the result of free drawing of pelvic bones implemented by 3D modeling in this conceptual process. Like a fragment of a planet from a faraway universe, the artist tried to see that it was a sculpture that caused curiosity, although the exact context and source were unknown.

<목성의 골반 부스러기>는 <목성(가제)> 작업을 구상하면서 제작한 작은 입체물이다.

촬영 기기로부터 얻는 시각 데이터는 기술의 발전에 따라 더 많은 픽셀과 폴리곤 값을 가진 정보를 제공한다. 하지만 데이터의 선명도와는 상관없이 개인이 육안으로 직접 목격할 수 없는 우주의 행성과 몸속의 뼈와 장기는 결국 디지털적으로 재구성된 가상의 모습을 가지게 된다. 이를 기반으로 <목성>은 다양한 선명도의 픽셀과 폴리곤으로 재구성된 뼈와 장기가 등장하는 상상의 풍경화를 시도하려고 한다. 위상기하학적으로 인간의 몸이  도넛 모양에 가깝다는 점에 착안하여 인간의 몸을 은유한 도넛 모양의 행성을 가정하고, 이 행성의 풍경을 상상하고자 한다. <목성의 골반 부스러기>는 이러한 구상 과정에서 3D 모델링으로 구현된 골반뼈를 자유롭게 드로잉 한 결과물이다. 마치 머나먼 우주에서 날아온 어느 행성의 파편처럼, 정확한 맥락과 출처를 알 수는 없지만 궁금증을 유발하는 조각이라는 관점을 시도했다.
