<Sheep box for the Sheep Box> is one of the <Prosthetic> series, and is a prosthetic device for the movement and storage of <Sheep Box 3(TJ)>.


Like an embossed box protecting sheep, the artist looks at the work of "Sheep Box 3(TJ)" itself as a sheep with an unstable body, and produces a customized box for it. The body assembled with a light and hard honeycomb board prevents external shocks, and the wheels under the body help smooth movement of heavy work. The body is designed so that the work does not shake in the box while not touching the sensitive colored screen in the front as much as possible. Furthermore, in the future, wax is coated on the body to increase moisture resistance, waterproofing, and insect repellent effects.

Just as prosthetic limbs are manufactured to reflect the shape of the body cut, prosthetic tools reflect the state of the body that needs them. The artist's works are made of various materials, so each work has a very different material state. Therefore, the artist would like to reveal the body of the work through a series of prosthetic works that find the movement and storage devices necessary for each work and implement them as customized prosthetic devices.

<양상자를 위한 양상자>는 <보철>연작 중 하나로, <양상자 3> 작품의 이동 및 보관을 위한 보철 장치이다.

작가는 양을 보호하는 양상자처럼 <양상자3> 작품 자체를 불안정한 몸을 가진 양으로 바라보고, 이를 위한 맞춤 상자를 제작한다. 가볍고 단단한 허니콤보드로 조립된 몸체는 외부 충격을 예방하고, 몸체 밑에 달린 바퀴는 무거운 작품의 부드러운 이동을 돕는다. 몸체는 앞쪽의 민감한 채색 화면에 최대한 닿지 않으면서도 작품이 상자 안에서 흔들리지 않도록 설계된다. 나아가 추후에는 몸체에 밀랍을 코팅해 방습, 방수, 방충 효과를 높이고자 한다.

의수족 장치가 신체 절단 부위의 모양을 반영하여 제작되듯이, 보철 도구는 그것을 필요로 하는 몸의 상태를 반영한다. 작가의 작품은 다양한 재료로 제작되어 작품마다 서로 매우 다른 물질 상태를 가진다. 그래서 각각의 작품에게 필요한 이동 및 보관장치를 찾아 맞춤형 보철 장치로 구현하는 <보철>연작을 통해 작품의 몸을 드러내고자 한다.
